What a beautiful day it is today! I was out for a bit earlier - taking a drive - and every place I drove, there were people out walking their dogs, pushing babies in strollers, running and riding their bikes. I can't say that all of them were more than 6 feet from each other, but at least they were able to get outside, rather than being stuck in the house! I hope some of you were able to get outside too. We will be having our Food Pantry tomorrow night (Thursday) from 5:30 -6:30 p.m. Guests will be asked to stay in their cars and we will bring their items to them. I need several people who can help greet the guests, take their "orders," bag their items, and carry them outside to their cars. Please come around 5:15 if you can help. There will not be a community dinner though. If there is someone you know who needs food, but cannot come to the pantry, please let me know, and I will arrange for food to be taken to them. Jerri O and I took several bags of food to someone today who doesn't drive and it felt good to be able to help someone in the community. This is what the church is all about! Keep praying and I look forward to the day when we can gather together again in worship. Pastor Mary |
