Hi friends! I hope all of you are well and have everything you need. Please speak up if there is anything I can do to help you. It's a beautiful day today, so I wanted to remind you parents (and adults too...) that there is a "parking lot play box" outside the kitchen door on the side of the church building. The box has sidewalk chalk, a jump rope, a soccer ball, and a basketball. Feel free to come play in the parking lot (watch for cars, of course). I'd love to see some chalk drawings! I have been talking to Eric McGlade (Pastor of St. Paul's and Sharon UMC) and we are trying to put together a joint parking lot Easter service. I am waiting to hear what the governor is going to say about church gatherings at his press conference this afternoon, but I'll keep you posted if it looks like we are going to be able to do this. The idea is that people stay in their cars for the service, and watch and listen on a loud speaker system. Other churches have tried it and there seems to be a good possibility that we can do this too. Watch for more announcements about this! I miss you all and am looking forward to the time when we can worship together in person! Pastor Mary So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10) Virus-free. www.avg.com |
