Hi friends! I realize that many of you have used Zoom at one time or another, but for those of you who are going to it test out for the first time tomorrow at 1:00, here are a few tips: If possible, use an IPad, cell phone, or laptop rather than a desktop. The reason is that most desktops don't have a camera, so while you can see and hear the rest of us, we won't be able to see you! If you need to use a desktop, we will see a box with your name on it, and we may be able to hear you. If we can't hear you, you will be able to "chat" using the chat box, meaning that you'll have to type your
comments in rather than just saying them. If you can't hear on your IPad or cell phone, go to "settings," click "privacy" and then microphone. There should be an option to allow Zoom to use your microphone. Having said all of that, if I remember correctly, I think the first time I used Zoom, I was able to see and hear everyone, and everyone was able to see and hear me, so with any luck, that will happen to you too! You may see a box that asks if you want to use audio and video - click "yes." The purpose for tomorrow's test is to work out the bugs before we actually have a Bible study. So...you should be able to click a link from the email to join the group. Say a prayer and cross your fingers that this will work! Hope to "see" and "hear" you tomorrow! Have a wonderful evening.
