Good afternoon!! I hope you're all having a great day! I have a bit of news today - I just received an email from our Bishop that he and the Cabinet have made the decision to postpone our Annual Conference until mid-September. We normally have this at Lakeside in early June. Most of us rent cottages and stay almost all week. This year it will be held on 2 days and will be held in Columbus. It will definitely be different this year, but it will be okay. I have been working on how to offer an online Bible study during the shut-down, and so I've decided to offer one on Zoom. If you're not familiar with Zoom, it's an online program where we can see and hear each other. I thought this might be the best way to offer it, because then we can have discussions. It is very easy to "join" this. I will set up the meeting, and then you will get an email link to attend. At the time of the meeting, you click on the link and you're there. You may have to adjust for sound, but it's really very easy. I'm thinking this will be done in the format of Unplugged that we were doing on Wednesday evenings. What I need to know from you is this: Will you attend? If so, when would be the best time of day to do this? (morning, afternoon, evening? Please be as specific time-wise as you can.) What topics would you like to explore? We will be limited to a 40-minute segment each time, but that should give us plenty of time to talk. Let me know your thoughts! I would like to start next week. Finally, if any of you have any prayer concerns, please let me know. I want to make sure we are still praying for each other as we should. May God bless you and keep you and make His face to shine upon you! Pastor Mary |
